Smart Cowboy

A cowboy rode into town and stopped at a bar for a drink. Unfortunately, the locals always had a habit of picking on strangers, which he was. When he finished his drink, he found his horse had been stolen.

He went back into the bar, handily flipped his gun into the air, caught it above his head without even looking and fired a shot into the ceiling.

"Which one of you sidewinders stole my horse?!?!?" he yelled with surprising forcefulness. No one answered. "Alright, I'm gonna have another beer, and if my horse ain't back outside by the time I finish, I'm gonna do what I dun in Texas! And I don't like to have to do what I dun in Texas!"

Some of the locals shifted restlessly. The man, true to his word, had another beer, walked outside, and his horse has been returned to the post.

He saddled up and started to ride out of town. The bartender wandered out of the bar and asked, "Say partner, before you go... what happened in Texas?"

The cowboy turned back and said, "I had to walk home."

When one of my best friends was a little girl her father decided to take the family on a journey by car through Europe. Children locked in a hot car for hour after hour becomes bored and grumpy and it didn't take long before the siblings started to fight. They were stopped and distracted and the car rolled on. As the days passed it kept on happening, they fought, the fight was stopped and every body was happy for a while.

Then came the mother of all fights and it just wouldn't stop. The kids were screaming and beating each other and the father yelled "Stop or I'll lift you all out of the car so that you have to walk back home!"

The kids stopped and looked at him for a second then the brightest of them said; "No you won't because we're in Italy now and you'll get arrested if you just leave us here." Then they kept on fighting.

The story ended with the father driving straight home from there since the kids kept on fighting and couldn't be stopped since they had figured his bluff out. =)
